Business Development Executive

Job overview:We’re seeking a Business Development Executive to launch and scale Tapita’s new 2026 service offerings: comprehensive website optimization, Shopify development, and paid advertising management. This role will work alongside our Head of Services (who continues managing existing SEO services) and will be responsible for creating the entire sales infrastructure from scratch—including sales processes, customer journey mapping, and closing deals for our expanded service portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Package Development & Strategy 

  • Design comprehensive service bundles combining website optimization, Shopify development, and paid ads management 
  • Create tiered package offerings for different merchant sizes and needs (starter, growth, enterprise) 
  • Develop pricing strategies for new bundled services launching in 2026
  • Define clear service deliverables and timelines for each package tier
  • Coordinate with Head of Services to ensure no overlap with existing SEO service offerings 

Sales Process & Infrastructure Building 

  • Build complete sales funnel from scratch for new 2026 services (lead generation → qualification → proposal → close → onboarding) 
  • Create sales collateral including presentations, case studies, proposal templates, and contracts 
  • Develop qualification criteria to identify ideal customers for comprehensive packages
  • Design customer follow-up sequences and CRM workflows
  • Establish a KPI framework (KPIs will be discussed and mutually agreed upon during the interview process), along with reporting mechanisms and dashboards to monitor sales pipeline health. 

Active Sales & Revenue Generation 

  • Directly sell integrated packages combining website optimization + Shopify development + ads management 
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand merchant needs and recommend appropriate packages 
  • Create customized proposals for mid-market and enterprise Shopify stores
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals for package solutions
  • Build and manage sales pipeline with clear forecasting 
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets 

Market Development 

  • Identify new market segments and verticals that would benefit from Tapita's integrated solutions 
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for different package tiers
  • Create case studies and success stories demonstrating value of comprehensive solutions
  • Build relationships with Shopify Partners, agencies, and other referral sources 

Cross-functional Collaboration 

  • Work alongside Head of Services to ensure complementary (not competing) service offerings 
  • Collaborate with development team to understand Shopify development capabilities and capacity 
  • Partner with ads team to understand campaign management services and deliverables
  • Coordinate with website optimization team to define service scope and pricing 
  • Work with customer service for smooth client onboarding and retention 

Required Qualifications

Experience & Skills 

  • 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in digital services, agencies, or SaaS 
  • Proven experience building sales processes from ground zero (not just following existing playbooks) 
  • Track record of packaging and selling bundled services or integrated solutions
  • Experience with consultative selling and creating customized proposals
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas independently 
  • Strong pipeline management and CRM experience 

Technical Understanding 

  • Solid understanding of website optimization, Shopify development, and paid advertising concepts 
  • Ability to discuss technical capabilities with merchants and translate needs into service packages 
  • Familiarity with e-commerce metrics (conversion rates, AOV, ROAS, etc.) 
  • Comfortable learning new service offerings and explaining value propositions 

Sales & Communication Skills 

  • Excellent presentation and proposal writing skills
  • Strong negotiation abilities with consultative selling approach
  • Ability to build sales processes, templates, and playbooks from scratch 
  • Experience creating follow-up sequences and managing long sales cycles 
  • Self-starter who can work independently without established processes 

Strategic Thinking 

  • Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable building something new without existing templates 
  • Analytical approach to pricing services based on value and market rates
  • Ability to design customer journeys and identify bottlenecks in sales process
  • Strategic thinking about market positioning for new service lines 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with digital marketing agencies or web development companies 
  • Background selling website development or paid advertising services 
  • Familiarity with Shopify ecosystem and merchant pain points
  • Experience with Vietnam market and local e-commerce landscape 
  • Previous experience launching new service lines or products 
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, etc.) 

What You'll Achieve

First 30 Days: 

  • Deep dive into Tapita's new 2026 services: website optimization, Shopify development, and ads management 
  • Meet with service delivery teams to understand capabilities, capacity, and deliverables 
  • Align with Head of Services on service boundaries and collaboration approach
  • Create initial package concepts and pricing framework
  • Draft first sales presentation and proposal templates 

First 90 Days: 

  • Build complete sales process documentation (qualification criteria, pitch deck, proposal templates, contracts, follow-up sequences) 
  • Launch first package offerings with sales collateral
  • Close initial deals and refine sales approach based on feedback 
  • Establish CRM workflow and pipeline tracking system
  • Create customer onboarding handoff process 

First Year: 

  • Generate $XXX,XXX in new package revenue from 2026 services (set target based on your goals) 
  • Establish repeatable, documented sales process that could be trained to future team members 
  • Build robust pipeline with consistent monthly deal flow
  • Develop case studies and testimonials from early customers 
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and package refinement
